Behenian Stars Online Series
Join Cayelin and Erik as we take a deep dive into the 15 Behenian Stars of the Ancients Alchemists who focused on these stars to work their magical intentions and practices.
You will learn how to connect with each star’s unique magic as well as discover what stars are most personal to you and how you can tune in to received personal insights and guidance.
Each of these stars (and more!) represent special qualities we can tune into experientially and spiritually to help us uncover personal gifts and treasures in our shamanic life journey.
The night sky has been part of humanity’s mystical language and mythological pattern since we first gazed upon these brilliant points of light above and around us. The Behenian Stars serve as one of the deeper ways to connect with the sky and draw down the knowledge and wisdom of the ancients.
In this series, we will also explore the Behenian star sigils, corresponding gemstones, plants and planets.
Plus you will get to see how the ancient Four Royal Stars representing the cardinal directions in the sky are powerful guiding stars, with 3 of the 4 stars also representing the Behenian Stars.
A great example is the Behenian Star Sirius (the brightest star in our night sky) having served a featured role in several ancient cultures in determining calendars, including a story of the legendary phoenix and why it became the “dog star”.
More than 15 Stars?
There is a lot of speculation as to why there are only 15 stars in the Behenian group that Agippa published in his famous work, Three Books of Occult Philosophy.
Plus, we will discuss the confusion around whether or not the “north star”, Polaris, is included in the original Behenian Stars as it sometimes replaces Alkaid (a star in the Tail of Ursa Major a.k.a the Great Bear).
Some lists show Polaris instead of Alkaid in their interpretation of Agrippa’s work (sourced from The Book of Hermes on the 15 Fixed Stars and 15 herbs and 15 stones and 15 figures.). In this online series, both Polaris and Alkaid are discussed.
There are many other prominent stars not listed in the 15 Behenian Stars that the ancient alchemists also worked with and it is unknown why these prominent stars were not included as Behenian Stars.
These prominent stars will be explored in future classes so stay tuned for more star magic that will go beyond this initial Behenian Star Class.
